What is the best use of your time

This was a question posed to us today by our new pastor (I guess that's what he is now)

It's so much like The Place and so much not at the same time....all the boring stuff I didn't like about The Place is cut out..YAY. and more about the Jesus and the lessons. It's only 5 years old and AWESOME. The morning services are in a movie theatre, and the evening on is on Granville Island... I'm really excited about joining this community! Lots of young people like us!

Anyway, back to my title.

What is the best use of my time...I know I spend WAY too much time online...it's been curbed recently due to my having no internet of my own and thus being uncomfy stealing internet for privacy sake. However, now that I live in Vancouver I would like to spend more time exploring and less time sitting here. I do want to focus more of my online time to keeping in touch with family and friends, and now I have the blogs for that too. But what IS the best use of my time.

I should pray more. Take some time away from everything to read my bible and give time to God. ...I DO NOT do that enough. I try, or want to try and fail.

I also think that with this time should come some of the pre-marital stuff we have to work on...and planning the wedding. augh....stupid wedding....I could not want to plan this thing LESS.

I would also really really like to spend more time on my crafts and knitting projects. I have so many on the go! And since they are all presents this year....I really have to get a move on.

Excercise is also on my use of time list. I run 3 times a week, and we definitely bike to church every Sunday, over a bridge with a nice hill both ways lol.

But above all.....my time should be spent doing less for myself, and much more for others, for God...and spent evaluating my mind...I definitely do not have the kind of mind God would be proud of (not that it's a gutter mind! I know you were thinking that) I just, don't care sometimes. I say things and do things that do not honour Jesus, and it's something I desperately want to work on.....and I have a lot to work on with David....He deserves someone a lot nicer than me....so I have a long way to go.

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

I LOVE this book....It's so hard to explain why. It's got it all. Romance, adventure, action, mystery. It's fantastic. I got David reading it and he loves it too. Everyone should check it out.

new home

Here I am sitting in the living room of our new apartment of English Bay (aka pretty much downtown Vancouver) It's amazing....

we are almost all settled in. We have 95% of our furniture and thus must start unpacking into it!! It's been a hectic few days running around town buying our new stuff.

We were so lucky with all the help we had....photos will follow when we're all set up!

Baptism

I was baptized tonight! By David!

It was so fitting. He has been my guide on my spiritual journey since i met him. It's no coincidence that we met when we did. He helped and me continues to help me every day, and it only makes sense that he be the one to do it....and even nicer is that he's my fiance! It was a really nice ceremony, I have the video...stupid weight...i look big. but whatever...that's not what it's about.


He also bought me this lovely little cross necklace as a gift for it! I got him one for his baptism too so he returned the favour I guess....such a sweetie! I'm a lucky gal
